Ambush Volleyball Camp

Join SDSU Alumnus Wagner Larsen-Silva and Augustana Alumnus Ivy Pearson for a fun summer camp! The first camp will be an overall skills camp for younger athletes & the later camp will be a positional camp for older athletes!

We would like to welcome Coach Wagner Larson to Ambush Athletics and Ambush Volleyball! Coach Larson will be in charge of starting up the new volleyball program in South Dakota. She comes in with a ton of knowledge and experience from South Dakota State University which that will only aid in the development of each athlete she works with. 
Career: 
2015: Named to The Summit League Academic Honor Roll ... started 26 of 30 matches and played in 100 of 110 sets … led team in hitting percentage (.280) and solo blocks (13) while ranking second in total blocks (57)

2014: Distinguished Scholar on The Summit League Academic Honor Roll and named to The Summit League Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence ... started and played in all 91 sets ... led the team in hitting percentage (.262), service aces (22) and block assists (87) and was second in kills per set (2.0) and solo blocks (11)

2013: Named to The Summit League Academic Honor Roll ... Started and played in all 92 sets ... led the team hitting percentage (.250), kills per set (2.59), service aces (19) and solo blocks (8), and was second in total blocks (66) and block assists

Before SDSU: 2010 Gatorade Player of the Year ... four-year letterwinner ... led Roosevelt to a runner-up finish at the 2010 state tournament ... finished her senior season with a school-record .527 hitting percentage and led her team with 376 kills ... first team all-conference, first team all-state and all-tournament team selection in 2009 and 2010 ... named to the 2010 all-city team ... also earned three varsity letters in basketball ... academic all-conference selection

We would also like to welcome Coach Ivy Pearson to Ambush Athletics and Ambush Volleyball! Coach Pearson will be in charge of starting up the new volleyball program alongside Coach Larson. She comes in with a ton of knowledge and experience from Augustana University which will only aid in the development of each athlete.

2015 (Junior): Ivy started 13 of the 29 matches she played in, while playing in 92 sets … Ivy had 90 kills on the year including a career-high 12 against Winona State 9/26. and Minot State 10/23 … She had a season hitting percentage of .144 … Earned seven assists on the season … Had 15 service aces for the Vikings … Her 15 services aces were sixth on the team … Made a big impact of Augustana on the defensive end with 258 digs … She had a career-high 20 digs on the road against No. 5 Wayne State … Had 11 double-digit dig matches on the year, including two different streaks of three straight matches with double-digits … Had one solo block, 12 assisted blocks and 13 total blocks on the season … Ivy earned 112 points for the Vikings during 2015 … was named to the NSIC Fall All-Academic team.

2014 (Sophomore): Appeared in 17 matches and played in 30 sets ...named Academic All-NSIC ... finished season with 16 digs … recorded two service aces … tallied six kills on the season … recorded a career-best four digs against St. Cloud State on Oct. 31 … and tallied a career-best three kills and eight attacks against Bemidji State on Sept. 20.

2013 (Redshirt Freshman): Appeared in 19 matches, playing in 40 sets … finished season with 10 digs … recorded four service aces … tallied two service aces against Wayne State on Oct. 22 … picked up two digs three times.

2012 (Redshirt): Sat out season as a redshirt.

High School: 2012 graduate of Alcester-Hudson High School ... four-year letterwinner and three-year starter ... tallied more than 1,000 kills and holds season and career records for most kills in a game ... led team to four district championships and two conference championships ... two-time all-conference first team recipient.
